Emergency Evacuation Plans
The new standard requires evacuation diagrams to be placed in common areas and must be orientated to the direction of exit.
Diagrams must display a validity date, version control and be reviewed at intervals no greater than 5 years. Diagrams shall also exhibit a “YOU ARE HERE” indicator.
The number of plans each level or area requires is set by the EPC. The size of an Evacuation diagram can be A4 if the Assembly Area is not shown as a pictograph or the preferred option of A3 to clearly represent both the floor plan and the Assembly Area plan. Hydrants have also been included in the list of equipment to be shown on the diagrams
Tag Safe will survey required sites and produce professionally drawn and framed emergency evacuation documentation in accordance with the various state requirements.
